Warranty / Exchanges / Returns

Warranty:

  • All of our Daniel Smart Leather branded items come with a LIFETIME Warranty.
  • Our Non-Leather Daniel Smart branded items are covered with ONE (1) YEAR Warranty.
  • Our Daniel Smart Promo/Economy lines have a 90 DAYS Warranty.
  • All products that are not manufactured by Daniel Smart are covered by their manufacturer warranty.

This covers all Zippers, Snaps and Construction such as Stitching. The Warranty does not cover Leather Tears or Soiling from liquids or weather-related deterioration or misuse of the item. Normal wear and tear are excluded and item must not be altered in any manner.

*If the Item or Items Are Being Returned Under Our Warranty Policy, Please Note : We will repair the item and ship it back to you at no shipping expense to you. If the item is not repairable, a credit memo will be issued, no replacement will be sent. Please place a new order if replacement item needed.

Our Non-Daniel Smart branded items are covered by their own manufacturer's warranty.

Retail Exchanges & Returns:

Exchanges or returns MUST be made within 30 days of purchase and ONLY with a return authorization number (RA#) and form.

(Note: Any items shipped back to DSM without an RA# and form issued from the DSM Staff will be refused.)

Policy Information:

  • International orders are only eligible for exchange only, and all shipping cost/ fees are the responsibility of the buyer. No refunds will be issued for international orders.
  • Any item that has been “tested”, or “taken on a test ride” is considered used and cannot be returned. All returns/ exchanges must be in new, unused condition. Including all tagging and packaging to be intact.
  • Discontinued product sales are final, return requests will not be accepted.
  • Shipping Charges:
    • All Shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer and are non-refundable.
    • When returning or exchanging an item that originally was free or discounted shipping cost, the actual shipping charges will be deducted from the refunded amount. This is because UPS, USPS, and/ or FedEx do not refund shipping charges.
  • All returns and exchanges, are ONLY charged a 15% restocking fee if:
    • The items are received by our Returns Department unauthorized or overdue.
    • The items are missing/damaged tags or packaging.
    • There will be a 15% restocking fee, plus the cost of shipping, in-and-out, when the shipment is refused, or not able to be delivered by fault of the receiver. This fee will be charged to your original payment method immediately.
  • Damaged Merchandise:
    • If you believe a product has arrived defective, or was damaged in transit, please contact our Customer Support Team, we can assist with the problem.
    • Please note that you must contact us within 48 hours of the products delivery to report any problem(s). If you believe your item to be defective, we will request photos of the item. If it is determined there is legitimate suspicious of damage, we will authorize a prepaid shipping label. Once the item has been inspected and confirmed defective, we will ship a replacement to you at no extra cost. It is entirely up to the DSM staff to determine if the product was truly defective.
    • We are NOT responsible for any products deemed mistreated or worn out.
    • All merchandise deemed non defective will be returned to your original shipping address and your original payment method will be charged for the cost of the return label issued as well as shipping back to your location.
  • Miscellaneous Issues:
    • If you receive an item and something isn’t right or the size is wrong, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery. Upon receiving the report our Customer Support Team will work with you to reconcile the problem in a timely manner.
  • Our Top Priority here at DSM is to keep our customers coming back time and again. We want to help you in every way we can and ensure your satisfaction when working with our Company.

To exchange/return/warranty a merchandise please follows these steps:

  • Obtain an RA# and form online using our exchange/return form or you can call us at 1-877-SMART-10 or 1-443-961-8501
  • Once you have been issued RA # and form, you may return your merchandise following the specific directions listed on your RA form provided by our Customer Support Team.
  • Please repack the merchandise in its original packaging (the same way you received it) so it doesn't get damaged on the way back to us. If we receive the merchandise damaged, it will not be accepted and will be returned back to you. You will be responsible for the shipping. (Please note, if the product is a boxed product, you still need to put it in a shipping carton. Do not just ship back in the product box or it will be refused.)
  • Clearly write the RA# on the outside of the shipping cartons and enclosed the RA form in the box. Packages without an RA# and form will be refused.
  • Once we receive and confirm the condition of the merchandise, we will then process your request.
  • Please allow a week for exchanges/returns/warranty to be processed.
  • All shipping fees are the responsibility of the customer except for warranty items.

Wholesale EXCHANGES & RETURNS:

  • Returns can only be exchanged for company credit, or product exchange.
  • Discontinued product sales are final, return requests will not be accepted.
  • All shipping charges are non-refundable.
  • Item or items must be in new condition and all tagging/packaging must be attached.
  • All exchanges, returns or warranty must be issued a return authorization number and form from Daniel Smart Manufacturing prior to returning any merchandise.
  • All returns and exchanges, are ONLY charged a 15% restocking fee if:
    • The items are received by our Returns Department unauthorized or overdue.
    • The items are missing/damaged tags or packaging.
    • There will be a 15% restocking fee, plus the cost of shipping, in-and-out, when the shipment is refused, or not able to be delivered by fault of the receiver. This fee should be paid immediately.
